The Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Provider Association (WBTPA), was formed in 2000 as an agency of End Abuse WI, to oversee the ongoing development and implementation of Wisconsin’s State Standards for Male Batterers and Domestic Violence Offenders. These standards were developed in collaboration between the membership of the WBTP and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. They were endorsed by the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse in 2007. Now we include all Wisconsin citizens needing BIP and Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Services. We welcome all agencies providing these services for CERTIFICATION.

The WBTPA re-incorporated our long standing organization on April 1, 2025, to continue delivering valued and needed servcices to All wisconsin Communities, Citizens, and organizations, including LGBTQI, WOMEN, AND YOUNG ADULTS.

Our mission remains the same: To support and certify professionals dedicated to ending domestic violence including but not limited to physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, and economic abuse, as well as threats, intimidation, stalking, and social isolation of a partner.

Revolutionizing Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Services utilizing new and comprehensive techniques.

The WBTPA provides State standards, guidelines, ongoing education, and certification for Domestic Violence Intervention and batterer intervention programs throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The victim’s safety is our primary priority. We provide individuals who use violence in their relationships with the necessary educational opportunities, skills, strategies, and learning exercises that will lead to changing old belief systems and attitudes that triggers their use of violent behavior; and replace it with new coping non-violent techniques and skills.

The WBTPA Agency members are an integral component and a cooperative alliance with our respective communities, the Department of Corrections, the Legal System, and the Milwaukee Commission on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault to end domestic abuse, by holding domestic violence perpetrators accountable for their behaviors, and enhancing safety for domestic abuse victims and their children.
